Q: Will extensions damage my natural hair?
These Extensions will not damage your natural hair so long as a BELLAMI Accredited Professional installed and removed them. After care is also vital to maintaining strong and healthy hair.
Q: How long do the extensions last?
TAPE INs: 4- 6weeks varying on the client’s hair growth. This is recommended to eliminate matting, frizzing and tangling, and ensures the extension is always fresh and close to the scalp. They can be reapplied up to 3 times for a total of about 6 months of wear; this is recommended so that the extension bond remains seamless. This is an estimate and can vary depending on at home care and regular salon maintenances.

Q: What kind of hair does BELLAMI use?
BELLAMI Professional only uses Full 100% full-cuticle human Remy hair that has been ethically sourced from Asia, specifically the western and northern regions bordering eastern Europe and southern Russia. The area offers hair at a naturally lighter level, making color lightening a gentler process. Our BELLAMI factory implements the highest production standards and is 9001 certified.
Q: What colors and textures does BELLAMI offer?
BELLAMI has 42 shades and continues to grow with natural, balayage, ombre, sombre, rooted, marbled and highlighted tones. We offer straight and body wave as your texture options.
Q: Why do the same length extensions look different on different guests?
The length of the hair and what it looks like on each client differs depending on the height of the person and length of the torso. The taller and longer the torso, the shorter the hair looks. The shorter and more compact the torso, the longer the hair looks.
Q: Can you lift or deposit color to your extensions?
You can deposit color, just try to stay away from the point of attachment and focus more on the perimeter and ''T'' section of the client's hair. Do not lift since it will affect the integrity of the extensions. Please keep in mind coloring the extensions voids their warranty.
Q: Why do I lose so much natural hair when I brush or shower?
Everyone sheds an average of 50-150 strands per day. You'll notice something unique while wearing extensions, though. Even if you shed more than the average person, you'll see an extreme decrease when wearing extensions. A natural shed is still occurring but remains inside the extension. Once removed, you will shed all that was left from the weeks prior as opposed to releasing in small increments. Don't panic. Though it may look like a lot of hair falling out, it's only your natural shed.
Q: What is considered part of the warranty?
The BELLAMI 3-month warranty is effective from the date of purchase and covers any manufacturing defects as long as the hair hasn't been chemically altered in any way. This would include discoloration at an abnormal rate, tangling, matting, excessive shed etc. If you feel you have a defective hair please contact a BELLAMI Rep for additional support.
Q: Can you flat iron, curl or blow dry the hair?
Yes, all of the above heat processes are okay. Do not sit under a dryer while wearing your extensions or isolate any of the above heat processes to the attachment points.
Q: How many packs does it take to do a full head?
On average, it should take 3 - 4 (100-150g) packs to create length. You are matching the density of the existing hair, so if their hair is thicker or they have shorter layers, you may need more grams of hair. The amount of grams needed to create your hair goals is given during your consultation.

Q: Do you offer different textures?
We have two textures: Straight and Wavy.
Q: Can the roots be retouched while the extensions are in the hair?
Yes, roots can be retouched, keeping in mind to stay away from the attachment points. It is recommended that roots be done 24 to 48 hours prior to application. If roots need to be done between extension services and there is enough new growth we suggest doing a partial retouch along with the hair line.
